Key Stage 3
In Year 7, 8 and 9 all students follow programmes of study in a broad range of subjects. These subjects underpin the range of qualifications available at KS 4 and the Progress 8 curriculum model which students follow, ensuring that our students are well‐qualified and prepared to make the most of the subsequent opportunities available to them in further study and employment.
The curriculum is delivered to all students over a two week timetable. Each day there are 5 lessons which are each 1 hour in duration. Therefore the two week timetable consists of 50 hours of learning which is allocated as follows:
|8 hours||8 hours|
|7 hours||7 hours||4 hours||2 hours|
|5 hours *||4 hours||4 hours **||1 hour|
* RE receives 10% of the timetable reflecting the particular nature of All Saints as a Catholic faith school.
** Art and Technology subjects are studied on a carousel to include Food Technology, Graphics, Product Design, Textiles and Art.
Timetable provision for PSHE/Citizenship is 1 hour each fortnight delivered as a rolling programme on the school calendar.
